Solid Surface Bathroom Countertops

The Material

Solid Surface is composed of a homogeneous composite material, made from a unique blend of color pigments, acrylic, polyester, and aluminum powder (ATH), extracted from natural bauxite ore. Solid Surface is exceptionally durable and has an easy-to-clean and bacteria-resistant surface with a beautiful silk-matte finish.

Installation

The countertop should be carried upright on its back edge. The countertop must NOT be carried while lying flat.

All cabinet elements must be set up plumb, level, and square. Make any necessary adjustments and reinforcements in the cabinets before laying the countertop.

The countertop is mounted directly on the cabinet elements with small silicone spots every minimum 30 cm. The countertop must NOT be fully glued to the cabinets.

Cleaning and Care

Cleaning is done with warm water and ordinary household cleaning agents. We recommend Marmorline Cleaner, but you can also use dish soap or similar. For stubborn stains, use concentrated cleaning agent or Marmorline Scrub Sponge. Do not use scouring cream, dry scouring powder, metal pot sponges, or steel wool.

Details

Our standard Solid Surface countertops come in color 110 Arctic White. The plates are uniformly colored white, enabling elegant solutions where five small overflow holes are drilled in a row.

Repair

Solid Surface is a strong and durable material. Should the plate sustain minor damages such as fine scratches, these can often be polished away. If the scratches are only "cobweb scratches" (not deep scratches), they can most likely be polished away with a felt pad. If that is not enough, the plate can be wet-sanded with an electric sander.

Environment and Responsibility

Marmorline is a Danish company that produces the plates at its own factories. All countertops from Marmorline have, among others, the following distinctions:

Danish Indoor Climate Labeling (Emission Class 1)
Indoor climate is crucial for our well-being and health. Marmorline's products are certified with Danish Indoor Climate Labeling, guaranteeing that they neither contain nor emit any harmful substances.

Approved for inclusion in Swan-labeled and DGNB-certified construction
Marmorline's products are listed in the database for building products that can be included in Swan-labeled construction, and our products can also be included in DGNB-certified construction.

CE Marking
Marmorline has a valid CE mark (DS/EN 14688:2006 (Annex ZA)), which is a guarantee of a product that meets Danish Standards' specific requirements for sanitary equipment for residential and commercial use.

Energy Optimizations and Climate Proof
Marmorline has, among other things, established energy-saving LED lighting throughout the company and converted the heating supply in the administration building to ground heat. In addition, the electricity purchase has been converted to 100% renewable and CO2-neutral energy produced by Danish wind power.
